Theda Bara the 1920's Original Vamp

Theda Bara was an American silent film actress, one of the most popular of her era and one of cinemas earliest sex symbols. Nicknamed "The Vamp" because she played so many femme fatale roles, which became a popular slang term for a sexually predatory woman.
Theda completed more than 40 films, but complete prints of only 6 still exist.
Married in 1921 to British-born American film director, Charles Brabin. It is claimed that her husband didn't consider it proper for his wife to have a career, and so Theda didn't make any more appearances after her marriage. Theda has a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.
