My fashion Hero!
Anna Dello Russo is a self proclaimed "passionate fashionista" who never ceases to Ah-maaze me! Born in Southern Italy in a place called Bari, but currently Anna lives in Milan. She has admitted to owning 4,000 pairs of shoes. This woman takes fashion risks with runway couture items and wears them like a second skin. Anna worked for 18 years at Conde Nast Italia as fashion editor at Vogue Italia and also served as Editor of I'uomo Vogue from 2000-2006. Anna is currently Editor and creative director for Vogue Japan.

A Tribute to John Galliano
Born November 28th, 1960. His real name is Juan Carlos Antonio Galliano Guillen, otherwise known to the fashion world as simply John Galliano. He is currently the head designer of Christian Dior.
Quoted as saying, "My role is to seduce." And he is true to his word, as Mr. Galliano is one of the few designers that actually incorporates himself into his own fashion show. As most designers will shyly waive and walk across with a quick bow, John struts himself down the runway in seemingly impossible tight pants, seducing us all the entire way down with his devilish little grin. His entrance is grand, his runway debut is grand and his exit is grand and we will just say that his grand fashion creations....well, they never seem to disappoint! Mr. Galliano is a busy man with 6 couture and ready to wear collections to create a year, as he has his own label and creates for Dior. Mr. Galliano also has a rigorous exercise regime; he wakes at 6 am and completes a grueling 40 minutes of aerobics, before doing about 150 push-ups and then finishing up with a run. He seems to have enough energy and creative spunk for about 4 lifetimes, and lets just say that.....we will never complain! We salute you John!

My 2011 Inspirational Tid-bits
With 2011 comes opportunity! Everyday is an opportunity really, every moment if you so choose. But many of us use the New Years celebration as a jumping off point for change.
I like to keep in mind a few little quotes, I write them down in a place that I view regularly in order to incorporate them into my daily routine without any effort. It helps me to keep my motivation throughout the year!
These are a few of my favorite quotes that keep me inspired:
"When the power of LOVE overcomes the love of power, the world will know PEACE." -Sri Chinmoy Ghose
"You cant go through life with a catchers mitt on both hands; You need to be able to throw some things back." -Maya Angelou
"If you think you can or if you think you cant; You are probably right." -William James

"The key to Happiness is to CHOOSE Happiness." -Unknown

Harrow Blog World, I have arrived!
(How I would love to arrive to this blogging experience dressed like this! And you are never fully dressed without a smile, own it!)
Allow me to Introduce myself with a short rant...
My name is Brooke. I have been a fashion conscious individual since I can remember, with wardrobe changes in between my dance numbers on the living room coffee table, white curls bouncing up and down from my terrible tap dancing number, but at least my tutu matched my bracelets!!!
Now, let me clarify that this by no means qualifies me as a fashion expert, obviously. This is just my own visual inspiration that I hope might be enjoyable for others.
But as I write I should share some of my absolute favorite characteristics about fashion, and that is that... if you allow it, it can/is:
Defined my no ones rules, and can use it to break and redefine your own standards.
Inspired by imagination, and can inspire your imagination in return.
To define and redefine you, what you are thinking, what you are feeling.
And most importantly to me; it is a wonderful creative outlet.
Fashion can be found for me mostly in two ways, clothing and interior design. Two of my creative passions! In the entries to follow you will find both, along with some Organizational Ideas, Inspirational Quotes, and whatever else might tickle my fancy that day.
I hope after visiting my blog...you decide to stay...light a fire...smile a smile, and decide that if there is pretty things that you might stay a while.
