Shenani-Sunday, Behind the Fashion Seams

Hello my readers, followers, fellow bloggers, and random visitors that have dropped by to say Hello on this lovely Sunday! I wanted to have a more runway inspired entry today. I find fashion runway shows fascinating! Just the culture of it all. And so, here are some pictures of what goes on behind the scenes before the runway beats drop, before the lights go on and the celebrities have taken their seats in the front row, some seemingly peaceful moments among the craziness before the production begins. I hope you can find inspiration for your own daily strut, whether you are on the runway, or just on your way to work. I hope you get to enjoy the journey and feel great about yourself along the way!

Giuseppe Zanotti

What an intimate portrait of such an adorable character. I have fallen in love with his shoes, and now I get to fall in love with him. He paints such a perfect picture of what his design means to him in such a creative and sweet way, "I am friends with this girl." "I study more the woman than the shoes." "She is a beautiful wild animal, the woman." I want to keep him! I think I watched this video about 4 times over... HA! HA! Can I keep him?!?!

RIP Amy Winehouse

Amy's unique and vintage inspired rock and roll fashion sense was inspirational in the beginning. I adored Amy's music as soon as I first heard it. I went home to see her video and loved her style, so on trend and yet individual at the same time with her own twist on rockabilly funk. Her hair was fascinating to me and I wished one day to have mine look very similar (see pics above). These pictures were when I think she looked her most beautiful!
My condolences to her family and loved ones!

Sunday Shenanigans

I am pretty sure this is Kate Moss. She is so famous that they dont even really need to show her face anymore and she still helps advertise!!! photo courtesy of: photographicpictures.tumblr.com
A little more Kate Moss for your Sunday...I Adore this Picture. That head piece is amazing! photo courtesy of: tumblr.com

I seem to be in a black and white picture pattern here. I try my best to pick out pictures that are random and somehow in my Sunday Shenani-entires I usually end up with a little undertone of a fashion or photographic theme. : ) But, isn't this head piece simply fascinating?!?!

Look of the Day

A few of my favorite things:

I got stuck playing on Polyvore today, as I often do! Hopefully my playtime will provide you with a little bit of Saturday entertainment. (You can view my Polyvore sets at the bottom of this blog page).
I am trying very hard not to shop in order to save up for the Apple hard drive that I need. Wish me luck...I am going to need it! (whew).

Oscar De La Renta Charm

Oscar is adorable in this video! He tells us a little about his design history and humble beginnings. But mostly he speaks about what inspires him and how his goal is to empower women, you can tell this brings to him so much joy that he speaks with a smile on his face the entire time (adorable). His sense of fulfillment with his profession and his pure inspiration radiates in his smirk almost as if he is going to stop and burst into laughter while trapsing through his memories. Watch Oscar De La Renta tell us about the power of femininity, and womens sense of individuality. He seems to be so very aware of how this power that women have is changing the world in monumental ways. "Never in history has a woman been in more control of her destiny than she is now." -Oscar

Shenani-Sunday!

Hello my followers and readers from around the world. I hope this finds you happy and healthy today! I wanted to theme today's Shenani-entry for a trend that has been very hot and cold through many years, but that can be timeless in my opinion when done correctly. Why? Because it just happens to be in vogue at the moment: WHITE... White lace, white hair, white shoes (especially after labor day), the perfect white tee, white jeans, white dresses, shall I go on? I think not... I will just explore this trend with pictures to help make your Sunday a little more beautiful and filled with lovely fashion. Thank you for your support, it means the world to me! Have a lovely Sunday!

The POWER of the perfect LBD

Designer Marios Schwab Exits Halston, Too!

I don't know what the heck is going on behind the scenes at the Halston design house, but what a mess! The word is that Sarah Jessica Parker and Harvey Weinstein have both parted from the house in the last 48 hours and now Designer Marios Schwab is following them out the door. Coco Perez reported that Marios was informed his contract as designer would not be renewed and he left, simply waled out. It looks like the 2012 collections will not be made, which word is...they have already been ordered by different boutiques and stores for upcoming sale. Something is awry and it makes me wonder...is the design house going to come crashing to the ground without these amazing fashion moguls their to hold it up? Read the story on cocoperez.com:

The most expensive backpack I have EVER seen!

The Olsen Twin fashion designers have put a major price tag on a backpack! This pack is for their Row collection. I find myself left saying, "Really MK & A? Really?" This is just out of control!

$35,000 backpack.
