Stevie Nicks
Today I am starting off my Morning with a little Stevie Nicks. I am getting ready to head up the mountain and do some snowboarding with my sweetie! One of my favorite things to do!!! But I was getting my gear together and listening to Stevie Nicks on this overcast and blustery day...
Her music got me thinking about the boho chic style; she was really a type of pioneer for this gypsy like look or lifestyle if you will! So, here is a little bohemian chic style from Stevie for your Sunday Shenanigans. I hope you enjoy your Sunday as much as I know I will :)
I have a top hat that was my grandfathers and it is made of beaver skin. Its worn and lovely and I will cherish it my entire life. I used to delicately play with it as a little girl, even at a young age understanding how precious it was after he passed away. I was always my grandfathers little girl!!! So I absolutely adore how Stevie was able to play with such a profound fashion accessorie and make it work for her every day! Lovely and fashion fearless!
I think this is my favorite photo of them all. Its like we are peeking in on her in this gentle moment in between the beets or something when you know she was surrounded by a ton of people and lots of movement. She is so effortlessly chic!

Studded Cutoff Jean Shorts
I absolutely love when someone transforms a fashion item in order to make it suit their unique style. It speaks to a certain personality of the individual and brings me back to my rocker days in the 90's when I attempted to personalize everything, but that's grunge style for yah! I still try and do this, and love to get ideas from others. Especially because I like to get an idea and see how it would look before I potentially ruin my fashion item. These studs might be placed in a place that would pinch you when you sit down, but you get the point! I absolutely LOVE them!

Sunday Shenanigans
I have stumbled across a new designer that has me gasping for breath on the floor like a fish out of water.
Which means "Treasure Chest" in Arabic, just opened a Flagship Store in Doha, Qatar. If you have not seen Qatar, look it up online, it is an amazing place! The designer is Lama El-Moatassem and she seems to be very in tune with the style of her own Middle Eastern Culture while keeping her International senses about her enough to translate her style into something completely ingenious and new. She studied in London and worked for a variety of Fashion Houses before breaking out to design her own line. And here are some of my favorites from her new Spring/Summer 2012 Collection:
I absolutely love how the fabric delicately fades on this dress!
This dress is so incredibly fun and vivacious!
I think I would wear this every day if I had my way. Pool side too!
When I saw this dress....enter gasping for breath on the floor like a fish out of water moment!
All the bead work is hand done! Breathtaking!
(Sigh in happiness) This color is awesome! And I love the cut, the bead work...everything about it really!
This one was the kicker for me. I schemed and actually looked into my savings account to see if I could spend every last dollar I have to my name just to buy it! FASHGASM!
I adore how the fabric drapes on this dress, it is totally new and still flattering! Fashion Brilliance if you ask me!!! It drapes into a cape in the back!!! (awww. I want! I want! I want!) Sorry inner child temper tantrum : ) (clear throat) I'm good!
Cobalt Blue Brilliance!
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! THIS JUST HAPPENED!
I would die for a dress like this!
And I am in love! It is official!
Super fun dress to go dancing in!
Brilliance doesn't cut it anymore....

Winter Street Style
I went to a comedy club the other night for my Boyfriends, brother- Rion's Birthday. (Happy Birthday Rion!)...And found myself wondering what to wear in the cold weather, my quick go-to decision's are no longer warm enough and pants didn't go with different boots and then a top wouldn't coordiate with any pants. I was having a hard time and thought I needed some fashion inspiration to help me shop my own closet this season. Here is some inspiration, I hope it helps you shop your closet a little more joyfully this season too!
I like her easy sense with this style. For Winter weather you just need long sleeves on the sweater and you could even pair boots with the pants if needed. Easy and chic!
Ahh, the classic trench! Will NEVER go out of style. I love th idea of wearing it in such a relaxed yet chic fashion (view left picture). And rolling up the sleeves (right picture).
This girl is so incredibly chic! LOVING her bag! Loving her gloves! Loving her coat!

Shenani-Sunday
Thank you for checking out my blog on this lovely Sunday! Brought to you today is a traditional Sunday entry for me; Pictures of fashion for beauty's sake. I hope you enjoy a Sunday filled with comfort, laughter and joy! Inspire someone today, compliment them on a clothing item or hair...a little moment can go a long way! I like to think that my compliments create a pass-it-on like reaction that stretches around the world!
Enough of my day dreaming....down to the Shenanigans!
