Stud Muffin

I love to dress feminine and add rocker chic details that make people think, that keep me from being pigeon holed into one type of person and that keep me in touch with my rocker roots. Keeping these rocker details reminds me of where I came from, who I was and how much my rocker style inspired be to become interested in fashion in the first place. In the 90's it was all about having items with a story, pieces that were unusual and mostly home made, only then were you "original". And so, I can't help but wear one of my studded bracelets every time I dress up for a night out on the town, and for me, they go with everything. Cheers to keeping in touch with the roots that inspired you from the beginning!

My New Purse

So I am really picky about purses, found this one and to be honest the pictures here do not to it justice. It looks a lot like a Chloe purse, minus the $2000 price tag. This was my TJMaxx $35 splurge. Chic and Cheap! Gotta love it!

Mermaid's for the Puddles

These are boots my leetle seester made for me for Christmas about 3 years ago. I have them displayed in my closet and they are wonderful for puddly walks around the park downtown. I LOVE them so much!

Mini makeover

I was so patient and grew my hair out for years and years, what felt like eternity. I am used to changing my hair and playing with the color, the style...
After being au naturale I decided to change it up with some ombre highlights.
Here is my ombre transformation thanks to Whitney Williams at Artisan Salon in Sacramento.

Let the makeover begin.

Color done...

Transformation complete!

Thank you for my new look Whitney, this was just what I needed!

I Have My Mother's Hands

I was so exited when my Mother brought this with her when she came to visit recently. This was one of her first drawings when she was in school for Interior Design. I was very exited to have such a wonderful and large piece of artwork in my apartment that is so personal and original. My Mother is an amazing artist, and anyone who knows art knows that drawing hands is one of the hardest things to do. But one thing that makes this piece so tremendous for me is that I have my Mother's hands!
(I will be painting the matting black to match the charcoal.)

Unique Edges and Memories

When I was about 11 years old my Buddhist Priest saw my piercings and told me that these holes in your body allow your energy to drain out like waterfalls. He shook his little finger at me and told me, "No more holes" smiled and walked away to leave me with these thoughts. While I always contemplated information that he gave to me, I always filtered through what it was that I would accept as right for me and what I felt was better left for others. Maybe it was vanity that made me reject this information from my priest, probably so, as I have always loved piercings. In fact, I pierced my ear in this exact same spot in London in 2002. I dont have an earring in that spot now, but the scar leaves me to remember two things that make me smile; London and the politely rejected advice from my gentle advisor. To me, this is what piercings are all about. They should remind you of a moment in time, of someone special, a triumph, or of a place near and dear to your heart. And my little hole reminds me of a city I adore and a little sweet man shaking his finger at me in love.

My Jeggings

So this is my first pair of Jeggings and I have to admit that I am definitely behind the fashion curve on this one! I always thought it was so terribly taboo to wear leggings without completely covering your hind end with a long shirt. This was until I came across my jeggings! Now I realize what all the fuss is all about. They are comfortable, they are thicker than the traditional leggings which makes it okay to show a little hip and booty. I have to admit that I still make sure that I cover my hind end with a long shirt, but this is mostly just from self consciousness alone.
And so the moral of the story is...do not be afraid to at least try the new trends...you might find yourself pleasantly surprised!
I have to say that next time I would not wear the grey leather jacket, but the rest of the ensemble I love!

Handsome Vintage

My gusband Eric bought these shoes! They seem to go with everything so effortlessly and yet he looks so pulled together at the same time. Take notes boys and girls, a little vintage flair can go a long way!

During our photo shoot shenanigans, I snapped this shot of Miss Brooke...I think its interesting how different a photo can look and what different emotions it can evoke just based on the color and the lighting.

Dita's Bird of Paradise Costume

So you probably all know by now that I have been obsessed with Dita since she hit the fashion scene years ago. She is understated in public by day and a sultry vixin by night! I adore this costume and have to admit that I am impressed with the fact that she is burlesque dancing in ballerina shoes!
Ahhh Dita... how I love thee!
